munawar: ‘Lock Upp’: Comedian Munawar Faruqui is the second confirmed contestant on Kangana Ranaut’s reality show

Nisha Rawal has been named as the first contestant on ALTBalaji and MX Player’s reality show ‘Lock Up’. And now, the second contestant has been revealed by stand-up comedian, Munawar Farooqi.

Munawar was in the limelight after Indore police arrested him last year on charges of hurting religious feelings and after spending almost a month in jail. He is also a writer and rapper. Commenting on his association with Lockup, Munawar said, “Lockup is going to be a special kind of show because I believe it has the potential to change the dynamics of Indian content viewing experience. ‘Lock Up’ is supposed to be a fearless reality drama and will be hosted by Kangana Ranaut. It will air from February 27 and will feature 16 controversial celebrities who have been locked out for months without benefits. ALTBalaji and MX Player will stream the show 24×7 live on their respective platforms and allow listeners to interact with competitors.
